Education

We believe that education is a powerful tool for social change, and our chapter is dedicated to ensuring that every student we come into contact with has the support, resources, and inspiration needed to reach their highest academic potential. Education isn’t just one of our programs—it is our first priority. We are focused on closing the achievement gap and fostering a culture of learning. The Sigma Sigma Sigma Chapter implements a comprehensive strategy to support academic excellence at every stage of the journey:

  • Adopt A School Initiative: Mentoring young men at Eastern MS and Pine Crest ES
  • Sigma Beta Club: Mentoring the next generation of leaders through our youth auxiliary, focusing on character development, leadership skills and academic discipline
  • Steven E. Taylor Scholarship: Sigma Beta Club Members graduating high school
  • High School Graduates: Available to graduating high school seniors going to to College or University
  • John R. Lewis Good Trouble Scholarship: Available to Sophomores and Juniors attending an HBCU; majoring in History, Political Science and Criminal Justice

In addition to the initiatives above, we produce our Sip for Scholarship fundraiser annually. Whether you are a student seeking mentorship, a parent looking for resources, or a community partner wanting to invest in the leaders of tomorrow, the Sigma Sigma Sigma Chapter would love to connect with you.
